MOCPA Has Raised $807,562 Toward $1 Million Goal to Establish Self-Sustaining Fund
In 2021, MOCPA's Educational Foundation launched a five-year campaign to raise $1 million in order to establish a self-sustaining endowed scholarship fund. That same year, a generous, anonymous MOCPA member made a $100,000 matching gift to MOCPA’s scholarship program, because other members collectively contributed $100,000 by the end of 2021. Thank you to everyone who helped us achieve that matching gift, but our work is not done yet! Please consider giving to help those following in your footsteps.
Thank you for considering a four-year commitment of making a tax-deductible gift, of which 100 percent goes directly to scholarships. Your gift will help ease the burden of rising tuition for accounting majors attending Missouri universities and secure the profession's future for years to come.
Why Donate?
The accounting profession is facing a significant shortage in the supply of accounting graduates and the number of accounting graduates passing the CPA exam. The below articles offer data and insights on the decline. MOCPA is working on numerous initiatives to strengthen the pipeline in Missouri, including the establishment of this endowed scholarship fund to facilitate the entry of more students into the profession.

Testimonial
“I am a first-generation college student. I would like to say thank you for the generous scholarship that is helping me fund my education. Both my brother and I are in college, and it has been a lot of financial stress on my family. Scholarship to me means an opportunity. It means that somebody believes in me and sees the hard work that I have put in and is willing to give me the extra help and push for me to be able to achieve my goals and passion. Thank you for believing in me!”--Benita Zossoungbo, master of accounting student at Truman State University
