Overview

MOCPA’s Educator Roundtables provide a unique platform for Missouri’s accounting educators to share, collaborate and cooperate in delivering high-quality accounting education.

As a MOCPA educator member you are invited to join your peers at MOCPA’s complimentary Virtual Educator Roundtable on Wednesday, April 1 from 2-3 p.m.

Join fellow MOCPA educator members on Wednesday, April 1 from 2-3 p.m. for an engaging roundtable discussion led by Elise Bartley, University of Missouri - Columbia, and Marcia Countryman, University of Missouri - St. Louis. They will guide a meaningful dialogue on the topics that are top of mind for accounting educators today including:

* What keeps you up at night regarding accounting educations and CPA licensure?
* How are schools responding to changes in licensure requirements while ensuring the CPA exam remains accessible and passable for students?
* With interships filling faster than ever, what are your expectations for candidates in a world where technology and AI are taking on tasks traditionally assigned to first-year CPAs?
* Is your school incorporating CPA Review courses into the curriculum? If so, what adjustments have been made to help students succeed?
* How are you supporting students who study accounting but do not plan to pursue CPA licensure?
* What strategies are you considering in light of potential changes that could lower required credit hours?

This roundtable is designed to be a collaborative discussion-an opportunity to share ideas, challenges, and solutions with peers across Missouri. We hope you'll join us for this meaningful conversation and contribute your valuable insights.
