Overview

Make an Impact at United Way Day of Caring
Join your fellow MOCPA Southwest Chapter members for a day of community service at the Hy-Vee Hunger Relief Drive for Ozarks Food Harvest-West Battlefield Location.

Day of Caring is the largest, single-day volunteer event in Southwest Missouri. You’ll be part of an impactful effort to create positive change. Volunteers will greet Hy-Vee shoppers as they enter the store and ask them to consider purchasing and donating the most needed food items for hunger relief as detailed on provided fliers and/or make a monetary donation.

Volunteers will receive talking points and instructions on-site. Snacks, drinks and lunch will be provided. Please dress appropriately as this is an outdoor event.

Thursday, June 13
8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Hy-Vee
1720 W. Battlefield Road
Springfield, MO 65807

If you have any questions, please contact Dana Seipp at dseipp@mocpa.org or (800) 264-7966, ext. 123.

Be sure to do the following:

1. Volunteers must complete their personal registration on the Day of Caring website.
2. If the volunteer doesn’t already have an account, they will be sent an automated email when they’re added to a team. The email will come from liveunited.uwozarks.org.
3. The email will provide a link, prompting them to “reset” their password and fill out needed information. Volunteers might need to check their spam folder.
4. If they do not receive an email, they can visit liveunited.uwozarks.org, and click “log-in” in the top right corner of the screen.
5. They will enter their email address and click “forgot your password.”
6. This will send a link to reset their password and, in so doing, the website will also prompt them to fill out their profile information.
