Taira Garvey, CPA
Director, Construction and Real Estate | CliftonLarsonAllen LLP
Since 2006, MOCPA and AICPA have partnered to honor outstanding women in the profession through the Women to Watch awards. This program highlights the accomplishments of women in the profession, and demonstrates to emerging female leaders that success is not out of reach.
Throughout her career, Taira Garvey has led by example and has served as a mentor and friend to many. She exhibits a strong desire to educate and motivate others through her career achievements, community activities and family involvement.
Taira mentors numerous young staff members and makes new recruits feel at ease. She is actively involved in the profession and serves as a regional expert for construction and real estate industry issues. In addition, she’s heavily invested in continual personal growth. By striking a successful work/life balance, Taira helped pave the way for other women in the office to have flexible work arrangements, allowing them to work limited hours, spend more time with family, participate in community events, and still have the opportunity to advance in their careers. In the community, Taira volunteers on various boards and committees, including the Junior League, Albrecht-Kemper Museum, and the finance committee of Cathedral St. Joseph. She is a graduate of the Leadership St. Joseph program.
Taira’s colleagues describe her as extremely selfless, taking ownership while embodying a team approach, and helping them accomplish more than she’ll ever realize.
