DON BREIMEIER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
Kaitlin Chitwood earned the eighth annual Don Breimeier Memorial Scholarship for her outstanding achievement in academics and demonstrated leadership. A resident of New Franklin, Mo., Kaitlin attends the University of Missouri-Columbia.
As the highest-rated 2012-2013 applicant, Kaitlin will receive an additional $1,000 award over-and-above the $1,250 she earned as a college scholarship recipient. Katilin has received an MSCPA scholarship three times previously.
"With an accounting background, one learns about every aspect of a business and gains the best possible experience with how a business successfully or unsuccessfully operates," says Kaitlin. "I want to make the most out of my career, and being a CPA is the best way to start."
The Don Breimeier Memorial Scholarship was established to honor the legacy of the MSCPA’s executive director from 1965-1993. He led the evolution of the MSCPA from its humble beginnings, and built the foundation for much of the successes the profession enjoys today in Missouri.
