LEAP: Lead and Enhance the Accounting Profession

2007-2008 Contributor Campaign

The good news: Accounting enrollment is at an all-time high!

The not so good news: With the number of Baby Boomers nearing retirement, an inordinate number of new CPAs is needed in the coming years to sustain our great profession.

Now more than ever, the LEAP career initiative is needed to help young people understand the rewards of working in the CPA profession.

Over the past few years, MSCPA members have generously contributed more than $300,000 to help deserving students pursue a rewarding future in the CPA profession.  (One hundred percent of money donated goes directly toward scholarships.)

Your generosity not only ensures the future of our profession, but it also helps your firm or company receive the best and brightest job candidates.  This year, firms and companies who contribute to the LEAP scholarship fund will receive greater access to students for future recruiting prospects than ever before.  I urge you to consider supporting the scholarship effort at whatever level you can.

I look forward to working with each of you as we continue to build awareness, replenish the looming workforce shortage and helpMissouri firms/companies recruit and retain CPA top talent.
