Nearly 40 small firm practitioners from across the state met during the first two MSCPA Small Firm Networking Roundtables in Columbia and St. Louis. Various ideas and issues ranging from staffing concerns to balancing work and life during tax season were shared and openly discussed among the participants.

> MSCPA Financial Literacy League

MSCPA has launched a financial literacy initiative to improve the financial health of Missourians. The MSCPA Financial Literacy League is part of a national effort of the CPA profession to reach out to the community and educate the public on matters of financial practices that apply to various stages of life.

> Report Finds Restatement Trends Show Sarbanes-Oxley Works
Earnings restatements rose 13 percent last year but declined at larger companies that have to comply with a Sarbanes-Oxley requirement to inspect their internal controls, a report released said.

> Home Computer E-File Usage Grows in 2007
The IRS announced that taxpayers are continuing to file their tax returns electronically from home computers at a record pace, up almost 7 percent from the same period last year.

> IRS Revises Offer in Compromise Application Form
The IRS announced that the newly revised taxpayer application for an offer in compromise, the Form 656 package, is now available.

> Six Percent Of Students In U.S. Study Accounting

As reported by the St. Louis Business Journal, in the wake of efforts by state and national associations to educate high school students about the accounting profession, an increasing number of St. Louis area college students are majoring in accounting.

> Flexibility Sparks Increase In Number Of Female CPAs

Also reported in the St. Louis Business Journal, in 2006, more than 60 percent of accountants and auditors were women, up from 57 percent in 2000, according to a report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.  And the AICPA said in a recent report that half its new members are women.

Assume you have a worksheet that contains addresses. Some addresses are very close to the same, such that the street address is the same and only the suite number portion of the address differs.
