Contrary to Popular Belief...

The Encyclopaedia Britannica is not British.

Scottish printer Colin Macfarquhar, Scottish illustrator Andrew Bell, and Scottish scholar William Smellie began publishing the first election of the Encyclopaedia Britannica in Scotland in 1768, completing the one hundred installments in 1771.  The British got involved with the eleventh edition in 1910 as partners with the Americans.  Sears Roebuck owned the Encyclopaedia Britannica from 1928 to 1943, when the University of Chicago purchased it.

Technology Tip of the Week

Provided by the MSCPA Information Technology Committee

In Excel, Start A New Line Of Text In The Same Cell

When you type text in a cell, use the shortcut Alt+Enter to break text onto the next line. This is equivalent to the "soft return" shortcut Shift+Enter in Microsoft Word that breaks text onto a new line without the creation of a new paragraph.
