Tondee' L. Lutterman, CPA

Senior Manager, BKD LLP, Kansas City

During her nine years in the accounting profession, Tondeé Lutterman has developed strong leadership and technical skills.  After spending the majority of this time in BKD’s healthcare niche group, Lutterman transitioned to their not-for-profit niche group and rose to co-leader within a year, currently holding the role of senior manager.

Notably, Lutterman helped initiate the Buddy Program, which pairs new employees with tenured staff to provide coaching and career guidance, in BKD’s Kansas City office.  Due to the program’s immense success, it has been implemented in all of BKD’s 27 locations. She has also been involved with the creation and operations of a recruiting committee.

Lutterman’s commitment to the accounting profession is evident through her service on Northwest Missouri State University’s (her alma mater) Accounting, Economic & Finance Advisory Board.  In this role, Lutterman helps determine what courses and accounting skills are needed to prepare students to enter the profession.

“Tondeé has exhibited a strong work ethic and is extremely knowledgeable in her field,” said Ann Jerome and René Larsen of Ronald McDonald House Charities—Kansas City.  “She desires to be a part of something bigger and to make a greater difference in the world around her.  Her involvement, professionally and personally, shows her desire to strive for the best, to consistently go above and beyond.”

Lutterman uses her financial expertise to provide consultation to the Kansas City Repertory Theater, Project AIM (Assets in Motion), and Ronald McDonald House Charities.  Her other community service activities include Big Brothers Big Sisters, Habitat for Humanity, and United Way’s Day of Caring.
