Junior Achievement

MSCPA is proud to announce a new pilot program in St. Louis with Junior Achievement.

This new partnership with Junior Achievement offers CPAs a chance to present a special accounting curriculum for high school students.

Junior Achievement and INROAD’s program, Counting on Success, was designed for use by CPAs in high school classrooms.  “Counting on Success” consists of 6 lesson plans to a high school class during a 50-minute class period.  These 6 lesson plans are presented during 6 different visits.  One CPA could present all 6 lessons, or a team of CPAs could present the 6 lesson plans.  Junior Achievement provides their training material, including certificates that will be presented at the end of the lessons.  In addition, MSCPA is happy to provide you with student recruitment materials, giveaways, etc. to help augment your presentations.

After assessing the success of this partnership in St. Louis, MSCPA will begin expanding through the rest of the state.

To prepare you for presenting the curriculum, CPA volunteers are asked to attend a one-time, two-hour training session.

If you are interested in promoting the CPA profession as a LEAP Ambassador, please contact LEAP at 800/264-7966 or by e-mail at ambassador@mocpa.org.
