2007 Women-to-Watch Award Winners

Congratulations to the 2007 Women-to-Watch Award Winners!

The Missouri Society of CPAs, the AICPA, and Robert Half International are pleased to announce the winners of the 2007 CPA Women-to-Watch Awards.

The MSCPA Women-to-Watch Task Force, AICPA Work/Life and Women’s Initiatives Executive Committee, and Robert Half International worked cooperatively to organize the nomination process and select the winners.

The awards program, which is in its second year in Missouri, highlights the achievements of women in the CPA profession. Awards fall into two categories: Experienced Leaders, who are established members of the profession; and Emerging Leaders, who are professionals that have been in the accounting field 10 years or less.

Among others, criteria for selection included the mentoring of other professionals, public or community service, involvement with their alma mater, leadership in workplace initiatives and improvements, and overall contributions to the profession.

The awards will be presented at the CPA Women’s Retreat on August 27 at the Chase Park Plaza in St. Louis. At this retreat, winners will participate in a panel discussion on strategies for achieving success in the accounting profession.

As part of their sponsorship of the awards program, Robert Half International has donated $2,500 toward the MSCPA LEAP Scholarship Fund in the winners’ names.
