Peer Review Administrative Fees
The MSCPA administers the peer review program for the AICPA. All administrative procedures are performed by the MSCPA. Administrative fees have been established to cover the costs of managing the program. Some of these costs include:
- postage and printing costs of review forms
- maintaining enrollment information of reviewed firms and reviewers
- obtaining information from firms regarding timing and nature of reviews
- selection and approval of reviewers
- scheduling CART reviews
- verifying information on firm-on-firm reviews
- monitoring reviews through completion
- evaluating workpapers, letters and reports
- processing the acceptance of reviews
The administrative fees are billed each December. This fee is in addition to the reviewer fees and CART fees, and is determined by the number of professionals in a firm.
