St. Louis New CPA Recognition Dinner
Join the St. Louis Chapter on November 6 as they honor those who have recently passed the Uniform CPA Examination, as well as those who have obtained their CPA licenses since June 2008.
If you have a co-worker who has recently passed the exam or earned a license, this is an excellent way to show your support for his or her accomplishments. Overall, this event is a great way to show your support of the profession, network with others, and to meet successful individuals entering the CPA profession.
Bob Harris, CPA, 2008-2009 AICPA Vice Chair will welcome the honorees and share insights into the current state of the profession.

The event will be at the St. Louis Science Center’s James S. McDonnell Planetarium, which is one of the nation's leading space education facilities. Guests will have the opportunity to view unique exhibits, as well as a spectacular star show.
New Licensees - You will be presented with your official wall hanging, so please make your reservation early to ensure yours will arrive on time.

Missouri Tax Law Update

Volunteers Needed to Help Older Adults
Lutheran Senior Services Volunteer Money Management Program, which is an interfaith partnership with Jewish Family & Children’s Services, is looking for volunteers 21 years and older to provide individualized, in-home money management assistance for older adults 60 years and older or adults 50 years and older with a disability living in the St. Louis metropolitan area.
Volunteers help sort, organize, and record monthly bills and statements, reconcile monthly bank statements, and balance checkbooks. Two hours a month is needed to help an older adult remain independent in your community. This is a United Way funded program.
