TOUR THE IRS KANSAS CITY CAMPUS Don’t miss this unique opportunity to not only tour the historic IRS facility, but to also observe the actual IRS work processes from the mezzanine level. The IRS Kansas City Campus is located on a 27-acre site at the southeast corner of West Pennway and West Pershing Roads, on the south end of the downtown loop. The campus includes three new processing wings, a warehouse on the east, and the newly-renovated historic main post office building on the northeast corner. At full capacity, it will be home to approximately 5,000 full-time employees and 3,000 seasonal employees. Limited space is available on the tour, so please register early. Join the Kansas City Chapter on May 5 as they honor those who have recently passed the Uniform CPA Examination, as well as those who have obtained their CPA licenses since November 2009. You will also enjoy The College Basketball Experience at Sprint Center (CBE) at the Sprint Center. The highly interactive CBE contains two distinctive floors of basketball activities. Numerous high-tech and energetic basketball stations allow fans to experience the game first-hand, and the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame celebrates the coaches, teams and players who comprise the history of this great game.
If you have co-workers who have recently passed the exam or earned their license, this is an excellent way to show your support for their accomplishments. Also, firms are invited to reserve a table of eight for this event. Overall, this event is just another way to show your support of the profession, network with others, and to meet successful individuals entering the CPA profession.
In addition, we are honored to have Bill Grigsby as our keynote speaker. Billl has had a distinguished broadcasting career. He has been a member of the National Football League broadcast crew for over 45 years. He’s announced and commentated for many landmark games, including the play-by-play for Super Bowl I. Bill Grigsby is arguably one of the most recognizable public figures in Kansas City.
