Committee Mission
Further the development and recognition of accounting and auditing standards, and stimulate members’ understanding and compliance, and provide a forum for technical discussions and questions.
Continuing Activities
1) Advise the MSCPA membership through The ASSET articles about new developments in accounting and auditing matters.
2) Assist with planning the annual Accounting & Auditing Conference.
3) Respond to exposure drafts on accounting and auditing matters; advise the membership of significant exposure drafts through Online Newsletter announcements.
4) Annually, inquire of the Committee membership if any individual would like to serve as a liaison member to the CPE Curriculum Development Committee to ensure the appropriate scheduling of accounting and auditing courses. This individual would work with the MSCPA staff to identify membership needs and interests in specific CPE course topics.
